1. Romanian Emergency Ordinance no. 164/2022 amending and supplementing Government Emergency Ordinance no. 111/2010 on leave and monthly allowance for raising children
  • Throughout the period until the child reaches the age of 2 years old, respectively 3 years old, in the case of the disabled child, the beneficiary may request the recalculation of the amount of the Romanian indemnity based on final court decisions, certificates or other supporting documents regarding the rectification of the incomes that were the basis of the granting of the right, issued by the payers of income or by the Romanian competent bodies. The new amount shall be granted from the date set out in the final judgment or, where applicable, from the date of submission of the documents for the correction of revenue.

 

  • Romanian Leave and parental allowance or, as the case may be, the insertion incentive shall be granted to the entitled person, whenever he or she requests, if at the time of the request he or she meets the conditions provided by this emergency ordinance.

 

  1. Romanian Emergency Ordinance no. 169/2022 amending and supplementing Law no. 84/1998 on trademarks and geographical indications
  • The application for renewal of the registration of the trademark in Romania may be made by the proprietor of the trademark or by any other person authorized to do so by law or under a contract within a period of 6 months prior to the expiry of the registration.

 

  • The cancellation of the registration of a trademark or the revocation of the right holder in Romania, requested by the optional administrative-jurisdictional means corresponding to Article 52 of the Romanian Constitution, republished, at OSIM (Romanian Trademark Registry) can be solved by a specialized committee within Romanian OSIM whose members have as their attributions only the resolution of the requests for cancellation and revocation, without being involved in any other Romanian OSIM trademark proceedings and without interfering with the work of the Romanian OSIM Board of Appeal, consisting of three members with experience in the legal field.
