1. Law no. 283/2022 amending and supplementing Law no. 53/2003 of Romanian Labor Code, as well as Government Emergency Ordinance no. 57/2019 on the Romanian Administrative Code
  • Victimization consists of any adverse treatment, which comes in response to a complaint or referral to the Romanian competent authorities, respectively to a legal action regarding the violation of legal rights or the principle of equal treatment and non-discrimination.
  • If employees, employees representatives or members of the trade Union submit a complaint to the employer or initiate proceedings for the purpose of enforcing the rights provided for in this Romanian law, they shall benefit from protection against any adverse treatment by the employer.
  • It is forbidden to establish a new probation period if, within 12 months, a new individual employment contract for the same function and with the same duties is concluded between the same parties.


  1. Romanian Circular no. 33/2022 on the penalty interest rate for the deficit of minimum reserve requirements in lei starting with the period of application October 24-November 23, 2022
  • The Board of Directors of the National Bank of Romania decides that starting with the application period October 24 November 23 2022, the penalty interest rate for the deficit of minimum mandatory reserves constituted in RON is 11,00% per year.
