About me
PhD. Nicoleta Mirela Năstasie is a senior lawyer, insolvency practitioner and consultant in industrial property – trademarks and geographical indications.
Nicoleta has acquired significant experience in commercial and insolvency law, in the issue of commercial companies in financial difficulty and restructuring, private international law, as well as in the relevant litigation for these fields, working as a lawyer for 9 years and as a judge for 18 years.
Nicoleta participated as a specialist in international research projects such as: International insolvency project – “EU International Insolvency Law and Third Countries: Which Way(s) Forward?” (2022-2024); EU Project “Judicial Co-Operation supporting Economic Recovery in Europe” – JCOERE (2018-202); EUIPO “Network of IP Judges of the EUTM and RCD Courts on Mediation-Documentation” (2021-2022); EUIPO “Judges Quality Assurance and Legal Practice Panels J-QALPP” (2020-2022).
Nicoleta holds a doctorate in commercial law obtained at Titu Maiorescu University, Bucharest, Romania, 2020, summa cum laude, with the research topic “Cooperation, communication and coordination in cross-border insolvency of the group of companies”. She is the author of several publications and articles in the field of corporate law and insolvency. She has been involved in collaborative work and research in various international projects, organised by INSOL International World Bank, UNCITRAL, INSOL Europe, European Union Intellectual Property Office, Cork University. She has been involved in more than 45 international training programs for different areas of law, in particular European law, cross-border insolvency, and intellectual property law.
Since 2013, she has been involved in collaborative and research activities in various international programs and projects organized by INSOL International, the World Bank, UNCITRAL, INSOL Europe, the European Union Office for Intellectual Property, Cork University. Between 2013 and 2023, she participated in more than 45 national and international training programs in various fields of law, especially in European law, insolvency and intellectual property law.
